It's Another Blog Challenge at Virtual Online Learning

Today is the October Blogging Challenge for Virtual Online Learning and it's off to a fantastic start.  Lots of great posts by those participating.  For those of you wondering if I have nothing better to do than sit on Twitter and tweet out these posts, I'm really not "there".  I had a feeling, that was right, that I would have a busy day of transcription, but didn't want to miss posting any blog posts for the challenge.   It's one of the wonders of automation.  I use a free program to automate the feed.  I've used it for a while now and if you're not, you might want to consider it.  Not only can you automate feeds, you will likely gain followers in the process.  The program is Twitter Feed.   It was a little time consuming to set all the feeds up for the challenge, but now that they are done, it will be a matter of activating them for the next one.  Of course, first thing in the morning, I will disable the hashtag #VOLBC as it will no longer be applicable.  I figure that should only take a few minutes to do.   I definitely recommending that you take advantage of this free tool, if you use Twitter, Facebook, Hellotxt, Ping.fm, or Statusnet  and set up some feeds.  One of the great features is you can, with a single click, make them inactive or active, depending on your own preference.  You even have the option of feeding more than one Twitter or Facebook account.  Definitely worth the time it takes to set up or at least take a look. 

Because there are so many great posts today, be sure and set aside some time to visit the blogs, tweet the blogs, "Like" the blogs, or leave comments.  Each and every one of us appreciate it.
